A dozen special shapes held up in inner Mongolia. "Darth Vader," "Nelly-B," and "Sunny Boy" are just a few of the special shapes balloons that might be missing from this year's Fiesta. About a dozen special shape balloons well known to Balloon Fiesta-goers are stuck in Beijing, China—nearly two months after they flew in a balloon festival in inner Mongolia, according to KOB-Tv. The Special Shape Rodeo and Balloon Glow are some of the most popular attractions at the Fiesta. If these special shaped balloons don't make it how will it affect the Balloon Fiesta?

I think that this will attract less people to the balloon Fiesta. Then again it might not affect the sales too bad so i think that the Balloon Fiesta will do ok without these balloons the mourning events won't be affected as much as the Balloon Glow, but the Balloon Fiesta earns most of its profits in the mourning. I do believe that there will be a few bummed out Tourists but the profit of the Balloon Fiesta will be fine, this has been a problem in previous years and so has wind keeping the balloons on the ground. Its just a shame that we might not see those balloons this season.
ReplyDeleteWell I think since there isn't really that much balloons that are going to be missing this year just a few are, it really won't affect the balloon fiesta. Sure there will be a few people that probably will be disapointed that those balloons wont be here but it wont cause a cotastrophy for the balloon fiesta, because tourists will still come.
ReplyDeleteThe special shape ballons are a big attraction but it isn't the only attraction in the Ballon Fiesta. Another in the Ballon fiesta is the food,stands and the other ballons in it. One of the major attractions is that you can get really close to the ballons, and with enough money maybe even in them. There is also competitions and other events in the Ballon Fiesta.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I doubt many people will even know that these balloons will be missing. This is the first I had heard that they would be missing, so I'm sure many others have not heard about it either. Secondly, the Albuquerque balloon Fiesta is the biggest ballooning even in the world, so the absence of a few dozen balloons is not going to make a big difference. I don't think these few balloons not being there will make a difference to tourism at all. There may be some disappointed fans whose favorite balloons are not there, but other than that I don't think it will have a big impact the balloon Fiesta as a whole.
ReplyDeleteI think that this will affect the ballon fiest in a negative way because if the special shapes ballons are stuck in Bejing then we will not be able to hold one of the greatest touriest attractions. This will affect our local economy because with out the money boost that the feist gives we might not be able to create more jobs.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is not going to affect the ballonn fiesta this year because they are not really much balloons that are not going to be on the event this year,but we have enought balloons shapes. And this event is the event on the whole world, so I think that the economy could be affected because people from around the world come to see or get in on the best balloon. And I think that not enoght of people are going to be on this event.
ReplyDeleteIf these special shaped balloons dont make it to the balloon fiesta many people that are influenced by that particular balloon will not go.Such as Star Wars fans, they will not go because of the Darth Vader balloon that would not make an appearance. If people wont come then we can also lose money for the state that we can use for schools and hospitals. So it is important to have special shaped balloons because they are great for attracting people old and young to see a great spectacle.
ReplyDeletewell i know a few balloons arent gunna hurt the event but people are just going to have to deal with those cool balloons not going to be there. im sure theres new things to look at there. its just a balloon so it shouldnt do any harm, people are just going to have to deal with they came for is not here this year.

I don't think it will make a big difference because those spacial shaped balloons aren't the only attraction in the Balloon Fiesta. There are hundreds of other special shaped balloons that are going to be there. Of coarse people are going to be dissaponted because those balloons weren't there but I'm sure they'll be able to handle it, I mean after all its only a couple of balloons. Thousands of people from all over the world come to the Balloon Fiesta each year, if a couple of people don't show up that won't make a big difference.

I think it will affect the attendance because people do have favorite ballons they like to go see and if they know that they're not going to be there then its just not as exciting for them. Im not saying that these people are completely going to abandon the ballon fiesta ths weakend but they will be dissapointed when they figure out that they're favorite special shapes is not there.
